About the speakers:

Alexander Gowing Dip CII, Client Executive, Marsh

Alex has been with Marsh for over 5 years, and is responsible for placement of Professional Indemnity coverage for clients as part of Marsh’s UK Financial Professions division. He is the lead broker for RIAS Insurance Services provision, placing Professional Indemnity coverage for members in addition to providing general risk management advice.

Alisdair Matheson, Partner, Brodies LLP

Alisdair has almost 30 years’ experience in resolving disputes in the commercial sphere in rapid and cost effective ways including the use of alternative dispute resolution. His practice focuses mainly on professional negligence claims and regulatory complaints involving architects and other construction professionals; solicitors; accountants; insurance brokers; and surveyors. Accredited in Professional Negligence by The Law Society of Scotland, he is a ranked lawyer for professional negligence in each of the Chambers Legal, Legal 500 and Who's Who legal directories.

Jo Kelbrick, Associate, Brodies LLP

Jo is a litigator with a specialist focus on resolving professional indemnity claims and regulatory complaints. She regularly acts for large international insurers and is experienced in representing a wide range ‎of professionals including solicitors, engineers, architects, surveyors and photographers amongst others. In addition to handling a broad range of actions in both the Sheriff Court and Court of Session, Jo frequently represents professionals in a range of disciplinary and regulatory matters before their governing bodies.‎ She is a supporter of Alternative Dispute Resolution, recognising the commercial benefits it can bring to her clients.
