Event description:

Almost 12 months on from it’s adoption, this 2 hour CPD session will evaluate the implications of National Planning Framework 4 on decision making now that it forms part of the development plan for each area in Scotland.

In particular, the session will look at the interaction between NPF4 and local development plans, and how conflicts between the two may be resolved. Presentations delivered by Mark McMurray, Partner, CMS and Alastair Hamilton, Service Manager, Fife Council, will be followed by a case study on Scotland’s first NPF4-ready masterplan at Ladyfield, Dumfries delivered by Susanne Sharif and Ross Aitchison, Architects at Collective Architecture.

Please note: this session could contribute towards the CPD 2024 mandatory requirement for ARB on ‘environmental sustainability’.
